The University of Milan (Università degli Studi di Milano or “La Statale”) is one of the younger Italian universities as it was founded only in 1924 with four faculties. In less than 100 years it enormously expanded, and, currently, it is a multidisciplinary, innovative educational institution with 10 faculties and schools enrolling more than 62.000 students (more than 4500 of them coming from abroad). Medicine, Dentistry and allied Health Sciences students study and work both in dedicated campuses and within research hospitals that are widespread among Milano and its surroundings. Perfectly located in the middle of northern Italy, Milano is the best place to start your discover of Italy and southern Europe.
