Columbia University

Columbia University Irving Medical Center is located in Washington Heights, on the island of Manhattan in New York City. The campus is located a 20 minute walk from the MET Cloisters (an amazing art museum), Fort Tyron park (beautiful flowers over the summer), and the express train downtown! Here at Columbia, our students love to take advantage of New York City. We explore Central Park, downtown Manhattan, and even take the train to nearby state parks to go hiking on the weekends!

The Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons is the medical school of Columbia University. The medical campus teaching building is the Vagelos Education Center - an architectural masterpiece designed by architects who created Lincoln Center in Manhattan.

We can't wait to welcome you here for research over the summer, and our students would love to show you around!
