With over 40,000 students and more than 9,000 employees, the University of Copenhagen is one of the largest institutions of research and education in the Nordic countries. 8000 Students are enrolled at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, which has a total staff of 4600.International Relations have very high priority at the Faculty. The Faculty is engaged in a wide variety of international activities within education, including strategic partnerships and networks, international Master programmes taught in English, exchange and traineeship opportunities for students and recruitment and retention strategies. Each year the Faculty welcomes approximately 650 international students as exchange or guest students, as full-degree Master students and at summer schools. In addition, there are many international PhD students.
