Global Meet and Greet Sessions/Global Social Weekend
The global meet and greet sessions are the cornerstone of ICEP's networking!
Throughout the fall program, we will offer online school meet-ups where you will meet your peers outside your small groups. This is casual - please do not be shy to speak!
Look out for emails and announcements for details and changes.

Saturday or Sunday of the month - all school "meet and greet" sessions with break-out rooms for networking led by the senior National Student Leaders.

Monthly student debate groups

Monthly faculty speaker series (alternating with office hours/chats with professors)

Bi-monthly break-out sessions games and activities
Meet and Greet Session Themes and Sample Questions

Virtual city and campus tours ( "google map" tours; "my student life in Paris, New York, London,...")

Food, history and cultural highlights

Language ("how do you say xx in xx?")
Individual ice breaker sample questions:

What is your name, age, school?

Which year of school are you in?

Where were you born?

What are your hobbies?

What is your favorite food? What is a typical meal in your country?

What is your favorite/dream vacation spot? Have you been there yet?

What area of medicine/dentistry do you want to work in? Why?

Where do you live? Do you have roommates?

Share with your peers something special you have (a pet, a book, a painting,...)
General sample questions:

What is happening in your country right now (politics, geography, holidays, seasons)?

Share something about your counties' cultures that you think your peers don't know (certain holidays, foods, geography,...)

Describe to each other what you know of each other's countries.
The National Student Leaders may call you up to answer these questions. Take turns and hand over the mic to the next person on your screen. Include everyone in your room to speak, and ask them for an opinion/view. Don't be shy to speak!
At the end of the Meet and Greet sessions (optional):
Exchange your social media, LinkeIn and email addresses to increase your contacts and network. Try to message each other or post your experiences on the ICEP Website. Log in to post!
